For Project 2, I have the idea of creating 3 beings, all with aspects of the human form but with something about their bodies being a different form.
My first idea is to create a figure with the legs and torso of a human, and the arms and head of a tree. The end of each branch will have a hand.
My second figure will be the torso of a man, and the head of a cat/ tiger.
My third figure will be a hybrid of a female woman, with the head of a fox.
I got the idea to create these figures from some drawings that I made over winter break. I challenged myself to create abstractions of the human form by changing some aspect of the body to be that of an animal or plant. I really like how these drawings turned out, and I think they will become very cool animations in blender.
One thing that I worry about is whether these forms will be too tough to create in blender, especially the half man half tree animation. Hopefully I will be able to create all of these forms or atleast a really good rendering of one of them.
For the animation portion, I think I want to make the half man/ half tree guy walking and waving his tree branch hands. For the female fox, I want to have the model sitting and twisting its head from side to side, And for the male tiger, I want to have it walking and swinging its arms back and forth.
