Artist Bio
Hello! My name is Katya Bollong. I am a Graphic Designer and Artist based out of Boulder, CO! My art style is very illustrative, both in personal and client work, which has spanned from package design to website design. As of recently, my main focus for subject matter has been the human form.
Recently, my main focus for subject matter in my work has been the human form. Last semester, I took a figure drawing class, and fell in love with the challenge of drawing the human body. I mostly use graphite when I draw, but have also dabbled in ink and used the technique called pointillism to render the human figure.
Photography is also a big passion of mine, and I have recently gotten into film photography. I find it incredibly exciting to get a role of film back and see what I created, as well as what interesting surprises I get (because there's always something I don't expect).
As well as being an artist, I also work as a designer for an ad agency based in Dallas. I have worked on package design, web design, social media, print, etc. My favorite type of design, however, is package design and branding design. I love starting work on a brand from scratch, from choosing colors and designing logos and assets, to creating full on ad campaigns for the brand. My hopes are to continue working as a designer, and always find ways for my art and design to work cohesively together.
